GARCO APPROVES CONSERVATION EASEMENT
Glenwood Springs—With a unanimous vote, the Garfield County Board of Commissioners endorsed the Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s acquisition of a conservation easement and perpetual hunting access easement on the north half of the Bershenyi Ranch. The plan to conserve game management unit 43 south of Glenwood Springs honors the longtime wishes of the Bershenyi family, who have owned the 640 acre ranch since 1941. The family wants the north half to be protected from ever being developed while preserving and enhancing access for hunting and fishing.
