ASPEN (AP) – Dozens of teens and young adults caught in an underage drinking and marijuana sting at the X Games in Aspen are facing the legal consequences. An unprecedented operation by Colorado Department of Revenue agents combined with actions by local police led to the issuance of 126 tickets during January’s event, more than double the number in 2014.

GRAND JUNCTION (AP) – Nine people have been arrested and two more are being sought in connection with what authorities say is a large drug distribution ring on the Western Slope. Court documents show how police used wiretaps, at least six confidential informants and listened in on phone calls with jail inmates to dismantle the alleged ring.

DENVER (AP) – The police and FBI believe one man has robbed four Denver area banks since February. The first robbery was Feb. 19 at a Wheat Ridge credit union. Other robberies took place in Aurora, Broomfield and Arvada. The FBI has nicknamed the robber the Longhorn Bandit, for the insignia on his baseball cap.

DENVER (AP) – The U.S. Army is about to begin destroying the nation’s largest remaining stockpile of chemical weapons. The first container of mustard agent was moved into an airtight containment building at Pueblo Chemical Depot in Colorado today, and crews expected to open it and neutralize it later in the day.
