CARBONDALE BANK BROKEN INTO

Carbondale—Carbondale police are looking for a tall, skinny man who broke into the ANB Bank on Dolores Way during the wee hours Wednesday morning.  According to police reports, the suspect smashed his way into the bank by breaking the glass doors just before 4am.  Carbondale Police Chief Gene Schilling says the would-be robber left empty-handed because everything of value was locked away in a safe.  The last bank robbery in Carbondale occurred in May of 2012 when an armed robber held up the Wells Fargo branch on Highway 133.  Schilling says the department may be releasing some video stills of the suspect soon.  If you have any information about this attempted bank robbery, call the Carbondale Police Department at 963-2662.
