BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – The pizza President Barack Obama ordered
during an unplanned visit to a Boulder bar has been renamed his
honor. The Sink’s “Sinkza” is now named the P.O.T.U.S pie. It’s
topped with pepperoni, sausage, green pepper, black olives and
onion.

DENVER (AP) – Colorado lawmakers are finalizing the last details
of a $7.4 billion spending plan for next fiscal year before sending
the appropriately dubbed “Long Bill” to the governor. The budget
keeps school funding per student at the same level as last year – a
rarity in recent budget-slashing years. School funding is the
single largest piece of the budget.

DENVER (AP) – A Democratic proposal to give preference to state
contractors that use American-made products, supplies, and
materials appears headed for certain defeat in a Republican
committee. A House panel yesterday rejected a similar contracting
preference for bidders that agree to employ Colorado workers. The
“Buy American” bill that received no Republican votes in the
Senate is being heard in a House committee today. Republicans say
that contracting preferences don’t create jobs and only lead to
more paperwork.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – El Paso County residents are
upset after getting an alert for a missing teenager and no update
that the girl had been found. An El Paso County dispatcher tells
KKTV that authorities didn’t want to disrupt people’s lives more
than necessary and they didn’t want to send an update during the
middle of the night.
