Glenwood Springs–Local and federal authorities are looking for the man who robbed the downtown U.S. Bank in Glenwood Springs last Friday afternoon. The white man, described to be in his late 40’s, handed a note to a teller saying he had a gun and wanted cash. He drove off in an older model Subaru.
Rifle–The body that was pulled from the Colorado River last Thursday morning near Rifle has been identified by the Garfield County Coroner as a wanted parole violator from Westminster. 41 year old Randall Clark Mayhew was leading New Castle police on a brief chase in a stolen pick-up April 16th before crashing and jumping into the river.
Parachute–Three women were injured in a rollover accident yesterday afternoon near Parachute. The accident occurred on westbound I-70.All three women were taken to Saint Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. No names or hometowns have been released.
Glenwood Springs–A former Colorado Rocky Mountain School teacher with a Doctorate from Harvard and an assistant superintendent from Washington state have been named as the two finalists for the superintendent’s job in the Roaring Fork Re-1 school district. Interviews are being conducted today and tomorrow.
