Glenwood Springs–The Grand Avenue Bridge project is now down to four alternatives. Tonight, citizens can get a glimpse of the four choices to replace the aging bridge during a open house at the Glenwood Springs Community Center from 5 to 7:30. C-DOT officials and engineers will be on hand to answer questions as well.
Rifle–The Garfield County Regional Airport has been awarded nearly 152 thousand dollars from the federal government for infrastructure improvements. Grants were also given to the airports in Aspen and Eagle County.
Denver–Close to 130 million dollars in unemployment benefits was overpaid to Colorado residents and the state wants the money back. Officials say in some cases fraud was involved but most of the improper payments are due to clerical errors.
Denver–State lawmakers failed to pass a bill granting illegal immigrants a tuition break to go to college but one state school is taking the initiative. Metro State of Denver is expected to approve lower tuition for illegals who are high school graduates. They must also prove they’ve lived in the state for three years and are pursuing legal status.
