STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) – Stagecoach State Park has postponed its sled dog race indefinitely because of dangerous conditions.
Organizers say there is too much open water and a lack of snow.
Park assistant Kimi Lehman said the races on Saturday and Sunday were scrapped because of safety concerns and unfavorable weather forecasts.
The park was planning to host 15 to 20 dog sled teams from across the state.
