Pitkin County, Colorado – [3/4/14] – William F. Styler III (DOB 4/22/48) and Nancy Christine Styler (DOB 11/20/51) were advised in Pitkin County Court shortly after 1:00 p.m. on March 4, 2014. Their charges are Murder in the First Degree, a class 1 felony, and Conspiracy to Commit First Degree Murder, a class 2 felony. The Stylers will continue to be held in the Pitkin County Jail without bond until their next court appearance on March 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.
William and Nancy Styler were arrested in Basalt, Colorado on March 3, 2014 around 5:10 p.m. without incident. They have been in the custody of the Pitkin County Jail since the time of their arrest.
The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office will continue investigating this case and follow through with new and developing leads. The Sheriff’s Office will work hand in hand with the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office to aid the successful prosecution of this case.
The Pitkin County Sheriff’s Office will be utilizing pitkinemergency.org to provide ongoing information to the community regarding this case.
