UPDATE ON SCHOOL THREAT

RE-1 SCHOOL LOCKOUT LIFTED, THREAT PART OF NATIONWIDE SPAM

Carbondale—Apparently Roaring Fork High School wasn’t the only school to receive a threatening email this morning.  According to investigative reports from the FBI and the Carbondale Police Department, similar, disturbing spam emails were received by schools across the country.  Carbondale Police Chief Gene Schilling says they learned that neighboring school districts received almost identical threats.  As a result, the district wide closure of all Roaring Fork RE-1 high schools and elementary and middle school lockouts have been lifted.  School will resume as normal on Friday.
