(Glenwood Springs) The Glenwood Demons dominated the Englewood Pirates Saturday afternoon in the 2010 3A opening round playoff game, 42 to nothing. The Demon’s used a stifling, opportunistic defense to bottle up the Pirates most dangerous weapon, senior running back Kevin Matthews. For the third year in a row, the Demons are moving on to the round of eight in the state playoffs. Next Saturday, they’ll travel to Monument to take on the Rangers of Lewis-Palmer. The Rangers came from behind in the fourth quarter to defeat Centaurus 18 to 15.
