DENVER (AP) – Troy Tulowitzki homered early, then doubled to start a two-run rally in the eighth inning that sent the Colorado Rockies over the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 on Sunday.
Michael Cuddyer, Dexter Fowler and Corey Dickerson also homered for the Rockies, who salvaged a split of their 10-game homestand.
Yuniesky Betancourt and Norichika Aoki homered and Carlos Gomez had two hits and scored twice for the Brewers.
ROCKIES MOVES
Rockies recall LHP Francis from Triple-A
DENVER (AP) – The Colorado Rockies have recalled left-hander Jeff Francis from Triple-A and optioned righty Collin McHugh to Colorado Springs.
Francis was available to pitch out of the bullpen Sunday.
Francis was 2-5 with a 6.58 ERA in 11 starts after making Colorado’s opening day roster. He was sent to the minors on June 20 and was 2-2 with a 4.63 ERA in nine games, six of them starts.
The nine-year veteran is 69-78 with a 4.93 in 216 big league games, all but one of them starts.
He will serve as a reliever for the Rockies.
McHugh was recalled and started Saturday night’s game against Milwaukee. He allowed six runs on nine hits in five innings in the Rockies’ 7-5 loss.
He was acquired from the New York Mets for Eric Young Jr. on June 18.
