DENVER (AP) – Rubby De La Rosa took a shutout into the eighth before running out of steam, Paul Goldschmidt homered and the Arizona Diamondbacks won their fifth straight game by beating the Colorado Rockies 5-1 on Tuesday night. The hard-throwing De La Rosa (4-4) handcuffed the Rockies for 7 1/3 innings with a fastball that routinely touched 95 mph. He allowed four hits and struck out six. The only run he allowed was on a wild pitch.

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) – With Stephen (STEH’-fehn) Curry back in the starting lineup, Golden State is playing host to the Blazers tonight. If the Warriors win they will wrap up the series in five games and advance to the Western Conference final.

TORONTO (AP) – Game 5 in the Miami-Toronto NBA Eastern Conference semifinal is this evening in Toronto. The visiting Heat evened up the series at 2-2 with a 94-87 overtime win two nights ago. Game 6 in the series will be back in Miami Friday night.

DALLAS (AP) – The final game of the Dallas-St. Louis Stanley Cup Western Conference semifinal is tonight in Dallas. The Stars forced the deciding game with a 3-2 win in St. Louis Monday night. The winner of the game will advance to the Western final against the winner of tomorrow night’s Game 7 between the Sharks and Predators in San Jose.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – You can now mark Feb. 4 as the date of the 2018 Super Bowl in Minneapolis. The stadium is due to be completed in time for the upcoming Minnesota Vikings season. Next season’s Super Bowl will be Feb. 5, in Houston.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – Kyle Busch will have to do without crew chief Adam Stevens in this week’s race. Stevens has been suspended by NASCAR for one race for violating the lug nut policy last week in Kansas. Stevens was also fined $20,000 and placed on probation through the end of the year.
