BOULDER (AP) – Askia Booker scored 18 points, Dustin Thomas added a career-high 17 and Colorado beat Southern California 86-65 on Sunday for its sixth straight win over the Trojans.The Buffaloes used a 14-0 run late in the first half to break open a tight game. They never gave the Trojans a chance at a comeback as they hit four straight 3-pointers to start the second half.

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – No. 11 Texas hosts 18th-ranked Oklahoma in an early season meeting of Big 12 powers. The Longhorns take a 12-2 record into the meeting, while the Sooners have a much more modest 10-3 mark which includes a three-game winning streak.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) – No. 14 Notre Dame brings the nation’s best shooting percentage into tonight’s top-25 showdown with 19th-ranked North Carolina. The Fighting Irish are off to a 14-1 start to the season with their only loss being by a point to Providence.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -The home of Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera suffered significant damage following an early morning fire. Rivera told reporters he was alerted to the fire by smoke detectors going off. No one inside the home was injured.
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) – A newspaper reports the owner of the St. Louis Rams plans to build an NFL stadium in Los Angeles County, boosting the chances that pro football could return to the region. Stan Kroenke has partnered with Stockbridge Capital Group, owners of the 238-acre Hollywood Park site in Inglewood. Kroenke and Stockbridge say they plan to add an 80,000-seat NFL stadium and 6,000-seat performance venue to a massive development of retail, office, hotel and residential space. The plan will add to pressure on St. Louis to either strike a deal for a new stadium or watch the team return to Southern California, where it played from 1946 to 1994.It’s the latest of numerous Los Angeles-area NFL stadium proposals over two decades.
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) – A person familiar with the Buffalo Bills coaching search has told The Associated Press that team officials have interviewed Mike Shanahan for the vacant position. The person told the AP Monday that the meeting took place in San Francisco on Sunday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the Bills have not released details of their search to replace Doug Marrone, who stepped down last week. Shanahan has a 170-138 career record and won two Super Bowls with the Denver Broncos. He’s been out of the NFL since being fired by Washington following the 2013 season. A second person told the AP the Bills also interviewed San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Frank Reich on Sunday. A third person said the Bills interviewed Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase on Saturday. Those people also insisted on anonymity because the team hasn’t released details of its search.
