The Glenwood Lady Demons wrapped up the pre-season with a 20-point victory over the Aspen Lady Skiers to improve to 9 and 0. The Glenwood Boys lost toe Aspen 63-35 to fall to 5 and 3 in December. Glenwood will begin conference play at Steamboat Springs, January 6th.
The Rifle Lady Bears won the Palisade Holiday Invitational over the weekend by beating Montezuma-Cortez, Cheyenne South and the host Lady Bulldogs.

Denver–The Denver Broncos magical winning streak ended at six games with yesterday’s 41-23 loss to the New England Patriots at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. The Broncos held on to first place in the AFC West thanks to the Oakland Raiders 28-27 loss to the Detroit Lions. The Broncos take on the Bills in Buffalo this Saturday.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) – The San Francisco 49ers look to clinch a
first-round bye in the playoffs as they host Pittsburgh tonight.
The Steelers, who clinched a playoff berth yesterday, will be
without All-Pro linebacker James Harrison, who will serve a
one-game suspension for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Browns
quarterback Colt McCoy.
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) – No. 5 North Carolina enters tonight’s
home game against Nicholls State with a 53-game home winning streak
against non-conference opponents. The 9-2 Tar Heels began a
nine-game homestand with Saturday’s 97-82 win over Appalachian
State.
DURHAM, N.C. (AP) – Seventh-ranked Duke is coming off finals
week and will be playing for the first time in eight days tonight
when the well-rested Blue Devils entertain UNC Greensboro. Duke has
won 40 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) – No. 18 Indiana hasn’t started a season
11-0 since the 1975-76 campaign. The undefeated Hoosiers can get
their 11th win tonight when they host Howard. Coach Tom Crean’s
Hoosiers have won nine of their first 10 games by double figures.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – The top two teams in the
NHL’s Northwest division meet in Vancouver tonight as the Canucks
host Minnesota. The first-place Wild have lost three straight and
their division lead is five points over the Canucks.
