HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS STATE GOLF TOURNEY

Rifle–Rifle High School Junior Taylor Walters shot a two day total 7 over par, 153 and took 7th place in the Colorado State High School Golf Tournament in Greeley.

SOFTBALL

Grand Junction–A half dozen local girls will play in the 6th annual Western Slope All-Star Softball classic tonight at Bergman Field at Colorado Mesa University. The game is set for 7 o’clock and will be broadcast live on KMTS.

MLB

Miami, FL–The Rockies lost to the Marlins last night in Miami 7 to 6. The Rockies have now lost six in a row and are off to their worst start since 1995.

MIAMI (AP) – Behind 30 points from LeBron James and 28 from
Dwyane (dwayn) Wade, the Miami Heat took a 3-2 lead in their NBA
Eastern Conference semi-final last night. Playing in Miami, the
Heat beat the Pacers 115-83, putting Miami a game away from the
conference final. Game 6 in the best of seven series will be played
Thursday in Indianapolis.

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – The Los Angeles Kings will be playing for
the Stanley Cup. The Kings wrapped up the Western Conference title
last night, eliminating Phoenix in overtime, 4-3. LA won the best
of seven series 4-1. The Stanley Cup final will start next
Wednesday in either New York or New Jersey, with the Kings facing
the winner of the Rangers-Devils Eastern Conference final.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – The Boston Celtics are looking to close out
Philadelphia in their best of seven NBA Eastern Conference
semi-final tonight. The Celtics top the home standing 76ers 3-2
after winning Monday night in Boston, 101-85.

NEW YORK (AP) – Game 5 in the New Jersey-New York Stanley Cup
Eastern Conference final is on tap tonight in New York. The Devils
evened up the best of seven series two nights ago with a 4-1 win in
Newark, N.J. If a sixth game is needed, it will be played in Newark
Friday night.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Cole Hamels against Bryce Harper. Tonight
those two will square off for the first time since Hamels hit
Harper intentionally and admitted to it in a post-game interview.
The Nationals have won the first two games of the series, which is
being played in Philadelphia.
