Coal Ridge shutout Basalt 2 to nothing but had to settle for second place in the
Western Slope behind the Aspen Skiers who beat Vail Mountain School 4 to 3 in overtime.

SWIMMING

Glenwood will be in Craig today for the Moffat County Invitational.

TRACK AND FIELD

The Coal Ridge Titans are in Cedaradge today for the Bruin Invitational.

BASEBALL

The Rifle Bears host the Basalt Longhorns tonight in a doubleheader at Cooper Field. The first game is set for 5 o’clock.

Saturday, the Glenwood Demons close out the regular season in Craig with an important doubleheader against the Moffat County Bulldogs. The Demons need to sweep to assure themselves of a playoff spot. The first game is set for 11 o’clock with the second game around 1. You can hear all the action live on line at kmts.com and rebroadcast tomorrow night at 7.

The Colorado Rockies welcome the Atlanta Braves to Coors Field tonight. Tim Hudson will be on the hill for the Braves while the Rockies will counter with right hander, Guillermo Moscoso.

NBA PLAYOFFS

Denver–The Denver Nuggets hope to reverse their fortunes against the Lakers in their first round playoff series. The Lakers are up 2 games to none with game three tonight at the Pepsi Center.
