DENVER (AP) – Colorado and Calgary have never met in the playoffs despite both franchises’ Stanley Cup pedigree. The first time figures to be an action-packed contest given both teams can fly up and down the ice. The Flames outscored the Avalanche by a 14-10 margin in winning all three games this season. The first-round series begins tonight in Calgary.
